Koyoharu Gotge’s “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” manga series is quite well-known. From February 15, 2016, to May 18, 2020, it ran as a serial in Shueisha’s Weekly Shnen Jump magazine. After his family is brutally attacked by demons and his younger sister Nezuko is changed into a demon, the anime follows Tanjir Kamado, a young boy who becomes a demon hunter. In his search for a means to restore Nezuko’s humanity, he enlists in the Demon Slayer Corps, a group whose members actively seek out and eliminate demons. As of the month of September in 2021, there are a total of 23 volumes including the series.

The manga has sparked an animated TV series and many films in Japan, where it has achieved legendary status. Its well-developed characters and heartfelt plots have earned it a reputation for excellence, as have its stunning visuals and nail-biting action scenes. Its strong themes of family, sacrifice, and the relationships between loved ones also contribute to its widespread appeal.

Totaling 202 chapters, the “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” manga is rather lengthy. From February 15, 2016, to May 18, 2020, these chapters were published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shnen Jump magazine. These chapters have been been compiled into 23 volumes.

‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotge. The name might be taken at face value to mean “Blade of Demonic Destruction.” Tanjiro Kamado, the novel’s protagonist and narrator, becomes a demon hunter when the demons that attacked his family turn his little sister Nezuko into a demon. This moment sets the tone for the remainder of the narrative. The manga has been collected into 21 volumes as of July 2020, after having been serialized in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine by Shueisha from February 2016 to May 2020. Even though Viz Media handles the English translation and publishing of manga, Shueisha distributes the series in Spanish and English on their Manga Plus platform at the same time it hits shelves in Japan.

A new anime adaptation of the manga, created by studio Ufotable, will air from April through September of this year. During the series finale, it was announced that a sequel film will be made and released in October of 2020.

As of the month of May in the year 2020, the manga’s total circulation, including its digital version, is over 80 million copies, making it one of the most successful manga series. Over the meanwhile, the anime has received several awards and is widely regarded as one of the best series of the decade.

Tanjiro Kamado is a young boy living with his family and making a living selling charcoal in Taisho-era Japan. He is a kind person with a keen intellect. The setting is modern-day Japan. Everything changes when demons murder his loved ones. His loved ones are in danger now (oni). Tanjiro and his sister, Nezuko, are the only known survivors of the disaster; however, Nezuko has now turned into a demon and, interestingly, still displays signs of human emotions and intellect. Aside from Tanjiro, nobody else made it. After this, Tanjiro becomes a demon hunter in an effort to return Nezuko to her human form and spare others the pain he and his sister felt.
