TutorialMS 1.4 BETA
Help test TutorialMS before the official release of the next version and browse over to the BETA here...

http://www.tutorialms.com/beta/

Help find problems, bugs, mistakes etc. by testing everything. Try all of the features and report any errors or unusual problems here, so they can be fixed before an official release.

I will be filling it with more information (e.g. tutorials, news, affiliates), so you can test it more thoroughly.

I will also upload the latest BETA version of TutorialMS in a ZIP file soon, so people can go ahead and use that if they don't want to wait for an official release.

Re: TutorialMS 1.4 BETA
hi,

1. can't see button icons on "write tutorial"

2. the search.. if i search "tutorial" i found it
but when i search "tutorial test" it can't found anything...

maybe is better when the search seperat "tutorial" and "test" and not as one word

will update my post, if i find more bugs

hope you can understand me Smile

greetz marcus

Kind regards,
Marcus

Re: TutorialMS 1.4 BETA
Yes, I agree with Marcus, the search engine really needs improvement, it search's for single keywords very well and ends up getting confused if someone enters a sentence or more than two words.

Other than that everything else looks great, thanks Scott Smile

Re: TutorialMS 1.4 BETA
Ok, the images were missing because I was having some trouble when uploading, so let me know if there are any others missing.

As for the search, I have it set so it will find all of the keywords entered in any order, although this does not work very well so I will work on something more user friendly.

Re: TutorialMS 1.4 BETA
Ok, I have improved the search (in my opinion). Now it will allow you to see results that have at least one of the keywords, but it will sort by the most relevant. Once I add more tutorials you will be able to test it more extensively.

Re: TutorialMS 1.4 BETA
Very nice. However, will 'Que' and 'Pending' visible for everyone, or will only appear to people who have administrator rights? (and is there any user group so that different user group will have different 'privileges'?)

Thanks.

Re: TutorialMS 1.4 BETA
not a bug but a small suggestion:
When writing a tutorial, i think their needs to be hovers/titles when you hover over a button (Font Size, Bold etc) kinda like this phpbb.

looks great sofar Wink

Re: TutorialMS 1.4 BETA
Everyone can see the Que and Pending page.

EDIT: Now it shows tool tips when you hover over the buttons.

Re: TutorialMS 1.4 BETA
if i not logged in and i will write my own tutorial
i can select the category, but i will redirect to the submit index page..

i think is better when the option "write tutorial" is only visible when i'm logged in...
little bit confused when i'll add my own tutorial as guest Smile

Kind regards,
Marcus
